Newsletter FAQ
Q. Does it
have to be called THE COMMERCIAL REAL ESTATE
INVESTOR? Can we call it something else?
A. The entire space in the heading is yours.
If you want to call it something else such
as "The Smith Co. Real Estate Report" you
are welcome. Use your imagination and be
creative!
Q. Can we
have two pictures in the heading?
A. Sure. Just send us the pictures and
sketch out where you want them in the
heading. We have done up to six pictures in
a heading. (Or maybe you would prefer to
take a group picture with two or more of you
in the same picture.)
Q. Can we
have a separate heading and picture for
newsletters for each salesperson in the
office.
A. We do it all the time. For example, you
may have three salespeople, each with 300
newsletters with a separate picture. We
charge you for the 900 newsletters, then
charge a small fee for each of the two
additional headings.
Q. Should we
send it in an envelope or use it as a self
mailer?
A. This is your choice. We fold the
newsletters in a tri-fold ready to go into a
business envelope or be sent as a
self-mailer. If you choose a self-mailer, we
will leave a space in the heading for a
mailing label. We can also print your bulk
rate stamp information in the upper right
hand corner of the heading. We can also fold
it flat in a 8 1/2" X 11" format if you
wish.
Q. What are
the terms of your contract? Do we have to
guarantee a one-year or two-year term or
some other term?
A. Not at all. You can cancel at any time by
giving us a 30-day written notice. When we
receive your subscription, we continue
sending the amount of newsletters you order
each month until you cancel. The 30-day
notice for cancellation is because we must
print in advance of sending the letters to
you and may have already printed. Since we
cannot "unprint" the paper, it should be
paid for. Fair enough?
Q. What is
the average amount of newsletters that other
real estate agents take each month?
A. It varies widely. A few take the minimum
of 300. Others take 5,000 or 10,000. It
depends on how hard you want to work and how
rich you want to get! (Don't start with many
thousand if you don't have a mailing list
yet, or don't have a plan on how they will
be mailed. Start smaller and build up. You
can increase any time just by calling us.)
Q. Do you
handle the mailing of the individual
newsletters if we send you a mailing list?
A. No, because there is a better way. If you
do not wish to handle the mailings, look in
you local yellow pages for "Mailing
Services." It works much better to have
those things handled close to home. You will
also have a local post-mark on the mailing,
which is important.
